Pick Three

Pick Three

Am I the only one who feels like my days are full of Zoom meetings and phone calls?

Drop-offs and pickups?

Cooking and cleaning?

Going from one place to the next?

I have found myself consumed by external tasks of the world and in a space of avoidance for my personal priorities. It’s become easy to feel like I am getting things done when I am on a call when in reality, it would feel better to focus on what I truly want.

The following questions help me shift my energy and focus back to what serves me moment to moment.

How do I feel?

What do I need?

How do I want to show up?

What do I need to give up?

Again… What do I need?

Sometimes the result is rescheduling the commitment or saying no.

Asking myself these questions has allowed me to check in with my body and prioritize my to-do list.

In life, I realize there is always so much to do, and what works for me is focusing on THREE tasks for the day.

I recommend the book Pick Three by Randi Zuckerberg which teaches us that you can have it all, just not every day.

Pick Three totally changed how I manage stressful times. Living by Pick Three preserves my health and sanity, leaves me feeling empowered instead of overwhelmed, and allows me to manage difficult days more gracefully.

So now, my days feel balanced and prioritized. This method leaves me feeling fulfilled.
