Release

I always want the best for my children.

After all, I housed them for 9 months before bringing them into this world.

I nurture, care for, and support them wholeheartedly, sometimes at my own expense.

As mothers, we often hold feelings, emotions, and energy inside in order to be strong.

We rock the “I have it all together” look, while unconsciously creating an internal time bomb.

The reality is if we don’t have an outlet to release, the bomb explodes when it’s ready whether we like it or not.

So what are some effective ways of releasing the tension, frustration, and the overall feeling of being overwhelmed?

  1. Space. Allow yourself to have a break. Send the kids to camp, allow them to enjoy themselves while you reset.

  2. Movement. I encourage yoga practice but any sort of physical fitness is helpful. Even dancing or shaking your body will move stagnant energy.

  3. Breathe!!! Do it with me now… deep inhale… big exhale.
