Self-care starts first thing in the morning

I’ve recently made a new commitment to the first hour of my morning. 

This is my "me time" where there is nothing I need to do except BE.

I don't look at my phone for this hour, in fact my phone doesn't even stay in my bedroom overnight anymore. 

I ease my way into my day which is a gift to myself. 

In the past, I’d allow my phone alarm to jolt me awake and I would immediately check emails and messages. 

This led to aimlessly scrolling on social media before I would get up and mindlessly start my day. 

Sound familiar?


There is so much value in an intentional morning. I now wake up with such ease.


1. I stretch.

2. I meditate.

3. I journal.

4. I drink lemon water.


This ritual can take anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour depending on what's available that day.
